Step 1: How to sign in
Click on the orange icon on the left that reads 'sign in', then use Google account you used to sign up with

Step 2: Create a new post
Tap the shaded grey area that says 'tap here to compose new post'

Step 3: Inserting a title and typing a post
Simply click on 'post title' to insert a title and click on 'post content' to type a post

Step 4: Adding a picture
There are two ways of adding pictures to your blog
The first way is by taking a picture, this can be done by clicking the camera icon on the left side

The second way is by adding an existing photo from your photo album, this can be done by clicking the picture icon on the right side

Media Magazine - Issues of Representation in Contemporary Hip-Hop

 I read an article from media magazine that discussed how the representation in the contemporary hip hop is changing. What I found interesting about this article was how the common conventions of hip hop videos such as images of crime and violence which is shown through mis-en-scene and fixation on money and wealth is no longer a dominant ideology within the hip hop culture as modern era artists such as Drake, Frank Ocean and Childish Gambino challenge these conventions through their music videos as well as their lyrics and their fashion in clothing.
From reading this article I've learnt that the hip hop tradition of 'thuggishness' is slowly losing its value as in today's era a "a hip hop artist can be pictured wearing glasses and a cardigan" whereas in the 1990's hip hop artists would wear "ostentatious jewelry and tank tops" to emphasize their masculinity and do rags to suggest their involvement in the gang culture.
This article also highlights how music is constantly changing within its different genres.
