Crash Blog Entry

                a)      In film enrichment we watched ‘Crash’ (2005) starring Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt
Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, Brendan Fraser, Terrence Howard, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Thandie Newton, Ryan Phillippe, Larenz Tate, Michael Peña and directed by Paul Haggis
b)      It is a film about the issues of race and gender in modern society which causes these LA citizens with completely separate lives to emotionally and physically collide in this American drama film. This storyline on the realities of the American society is what makes 'Crash' one of the best films of the year.'Crash' takes an unflinching look at the complexities of human conflict in America.  A Brent wood housewife and her DA husband. A PersiAn store owner. Two police detectives who are also lover. A black television director and his wife. A Mexican locksmith. Two car-jackers. A rookie cop. A middle - age couple.

c)        Some of the main themes (topics)  in the film are poverty, sexism, discrimination and predujice
d)      I really liked the character ‘Anthony' who was played by Ludacris  because despite his unstable background of crime and violence he changed for the better in the end of movie and didn't take part in trafficking those Chinese people instead he refuse the money offer and set them free.
e)      My favourite scene in the film was when the little girl ran in front of her dad (the mexican locksmith) to protect him from getting shot this is my favourite scene because that scene show how the much faith the little girl had in her father's story about the angel
f)       I enjoyed this film because it opened my eyes about the injustice and immoralities of the American society.
